Guide for busy people
I may have stumbled upon the ultimate guide for busy people. This entry from Zen Habits (click here) lays out things you can do at work, at home and on the computer to save time.
Some of these entries look pretty familiar - as in things I have tried but haven't been able to stick with (ie. At Home #5 - don't watch too much TV).
Anyways, this list should save time (no pun intended) as you make your New Year's resolutions.
Website of the month 2: Urbano
Since we received some positive emails about the first website of the month "award" I though it was time to do another. This month's recipient is Mrs. Urbano. Gimena Urbano is our 6-8 Spanish teacher and teaches almost 200 students.
Gimena uses her site to keep her students up-to-date and to handout project directions (saves paper!!). Her site features a great list of Spanish links and great spanish related videos.
So far her site has the 3rd highest unique views of all teacher sites in December.
From Gimena's website - Un video cómico en español:
YouTube is bad, right?
Remember when everyone used to think that YouTube was bad? I know several schools and parishes that we keep in contact with block youtube.com on their computers.
Google (who now owns YouTube) has made huge advancements in their efforts to identify inappropriate material. Our teachers and students use YouTube in class to access some of the great content that is out there. (100 best YouTube videos for Teachers)
After all it can't be all bad:
